Abstract
A monolayer of silver nanoparticles was produced by direct deposition of Ag onto a solid supported liquid-crystalline phospholipid membrane. The silver nanoparticles embedded within a phospholipid membrane were converted into a nanostring array by hydration as the lipid membrane underwent a lyotropic phase transition.
