Abstract
We study the scattering of light by nanoegg dimers using a computational scheme that allows for the efficient simulation nanoegg dimers. We utilize the quasistatic approximation combined with translation relations of spherical harmonic function that allows easier transition between different coordinates systems making the scattering problem easier to solve. We use this scheme to simulate the field enhancement and resonance properties of nanoegg dimers to study the effect of the various parameters on these resonance properties and field enhancement.
