Abstract :
A hemispherical dielectric resonator antenna using aperture-coupling is studied both theoretically and experimentally. The exact magnetic field Green´s function due to the equivalent magnetic current in the slot is presented, and moment method is used to solve the magnetic current from which the broadside TE/sub 111/ mode input impedance of the antenna configuration is evaluated. The effect of the slot´s position on the input impedance is studied, and reasonable agreement between theory and experiment is obtained.<>
