  • Abstract
    To provide accurate, real time car park space information, based on the vortex detection principle, a novel berth detector is designed for the parking guidance system. The berth-detecting algorithm is proposed according to the complicated practical car park situation via threshold method. The median filter technology is adopted in this algorithm to eliminate transient-upset signal. The experimental results show that the vortex berth detector has strong robustness under rapid time-varying temperature condition, and the algorithm is efficient and reliable.
