Abstract :
This paper presents the background and development of combined post-graduate university research and education in biomedical technology in Austria and shows the present organisation structure within these fields. The main research and education activities at the Danube-University of Krems, Center of Biomedical Technology are presented. Finally new trends of activities are mentioned
