Impacts of new technology introduction in the textile industry lay out-the case of Joao Pessoa City/Brazil

The competitiveness that appeared in the national market after the commercial opening for the imported products, made noticed existence of a technological lateness between the national companies and its external competitors. Such a fact forced the national companies to started to invest in the restructuring of its technological plants to attenuate that scenario. Among the sections that adopted such a strategy was the textile complex, that already possessed obsolete equipment. That effort rebounded in the final product, in the productive system and in the administration of this process.
