  • Abstract
    The competitiveness that appeared in the national market after the commercial opening for the imported products, made noticed existence of a technological lateness between the national companies and its external competitors. Such a fact forced the national companies to started to invest in the restructuring of its technological plants to attenuate that scenario. Among the sections that adopted such a strategy was the textile complex, that already possessed obsolete equipment. That effort rebounded in the final product, in the productive system and in the administration of this process. The present study seeks to speculate on the current impacts of the introduction of the technological innovation in the lay out of an organization of the textile section, through the analysis of the basic elements to a lay out study, as follows: product, quantity, itinerary, support service, time
