Abstract :
Many contributions to the wavelet theory by mathematicians have initiated a flurry of activity in using the wavelet transforms for practical applications. To solve a particular problem, one is confronted with the choice of the mother wavelet and the wavelet grid that should be used in the transform. Given some a priori information about the signals, the authors have attempted to design the mother wavelet and the associated grid for signal classification or separation applications. Analysis of ECG signals for the presence of late potentials is explored
