Abstract :
A digitally controlled RF front-end receiver is presented that employs Q-enhanced filtering of the RF signal and uses sub-sampling to a digital IF. The receiver consumes 2.94 mA while providing a sensitivity of -106 dBm. The SFDR at 4 MHz offset is greater than 45 dB and the receiver is suitable for use in a 802.15.4 transceiver. The receiver is implemented in standard 0.18 μm CMOS.
