Abstract :
This paper describes the implementation of a wireless joystick control for a laboratory-scale trolley crane system. The proposed wireless joystick control system can be used for both educational and research purposes for topics such as human control characteristics identification, human skill evaluation, human control under communication uncertainty etc. Preliminary tests for human controller identification are carried out. The results will serve as a basis for developing human adaptive mechatronics (HAM) methods for the particular trolley crane system as well as for other human operated machines.
