Abstract :
The modeling of a commercial broadband transmission-line transformer is presented in this paper and two distinctive circuit models are introduced. Also the operation and characteristics of transmission-line transformers are discussed and compared with the conventional flux-coupled transformers. The developed models show good agreement with the measured data implicating that accurate models were obtained. The models proved to be a significant aid for a successful design of a broadband RF tuner for cable modems.
