  • Abstract
    Hybrid hydrogels with clay and polymer have excellent mechanical properties than polymer hydrogels. We use biopolymer, chitosan, instead of artificial polymers to prepare the hybrid hydrogels. When mixed components, the clay and chitosan solution can interact with other component due to its charge, then the solution was formed to the hybrid hydrogels within a few minutes. The gelation time is depends on clay/chitosan ratio and pH value of chitosan solution.
