Abstract :
A voltage-fed high-frequency inverter with load voltage boost for induction heating is analyzed. The inverter circuit works on the principle of natural commutation. The voltage across the load is boosted to about 15 to 20 times that of the input DC voltage. Necessary conditions for the reliable operation of the inverter circuit are derived, and the improvements of the scheme are discussed. The range of circuit parameters for which the circuit operates reliably has been simulated by employing the PSPICE software package, and the corresponding nomograms are presented
