Abstract :
The Hybrid maglev system can generate a majority of levitation force by using permanent magnets. Thus, the power consumption of system and the capacity of the batteries are decreased greatly. At the same time, the levitation air-gap can increase properly. However, the instability factors are increased because of the permanent magnet adding to the suspend poles of the hybrid levitation system. Then the faster respond speed and the higher stiffness are required in the control system. Based on the stiffness problem of the hybrid levitation system, this paper studies the whole hybrid levitation control system adopting the expert PID controller which tune control parameters on-line automatically, and analyzes and compares the expert PID controller with PID controller. Therefore, the advantage of expert PID controller is proved.
