Abstract :
With the techniques of mechantronics and pneumatics, this paper has developed the automatic conveying system for dangerous goods that consists of a vehicle and a manipulator. The vehicle transports the barrels with dangerous goods to the designated place; the manipulation pours out the dangerous goods from the barrel and puts back the barrel on the vehicle. The control subsystem is master-slave mode that contains industrial personal computer (IPC) and programmable logic controller (PLC). The IPC is responsible for human-computer interaction, monitoring the system, receiving the consumer orders, and then changing them into the control signals and finally transmitting the signals to the PLC. The PLC has controlled the positions of the solenoid valves in the pneumatic system by the IPC signals and the acting logic relationship, and has driven the pneumatics cylinders and motor action. The system has fulfilled the automatic conveying of dangerous goods, increased the safety and the efficiency and reduced the labor intensity.
