  • Abstract
    To solve both the problems of unstable tension and difficult start in threading-in process on 1420 cold tandem mill, a model of strip tension fluctuation in threading-in process was built, with a formula of static deviation of strip tension. After digesting and analyzing the mathematical model and control system of strip threading-in process, the simulation of strip threading-in process for this mill has been set up. We present fuzzy PID control combing with neuron decoupling method to solve the problems of tension in strip threading-in process. The simulating result indicates that the system´s dynamic response performance is advanced observably, it also has more favorable characteristics than conventional control method.
