Abstract :
We have already developed a novel ultrasonic-based method, namely, the phased tracking method, to measure the rapid velocity in the heart wall by accurately tracking the movement xi(t) of a point (i) in the heart wall by the constraint least-squares method applied to both the phase and magnitude of the quadrature-demodulated signals. In this paper, by employing multiple 1-D configurations, each of which shows the axial component along the ultra-sonic beam with fast acquisition intervals, the 2-D spatial distribution of the rapid velocity components is continuously obtained on the cross-sectional 2-D image. From in vivo experiments, novel results were obtained.
