Abstract :
There sometimes arise adverse invisible driving situations in heavy snowy areas due to blizzard or foggy weather. The invisible situation is the most dangerous for vehicle driving. The motivation of the research is to assist a vehicle driver in such an adverse weather condition to recognize where the vehicle is located within a road, which also will serve snow shoveling work in such a region. A prototype of an FM-CW radar system for navigation is presented and its performance is demonstrated.
