Abstract :
SrTiO3 (STO) shows notable photoconductivity by irradiation of UV light of 387 nm or shorter wavelength. The photoconductivity is caused by the excitation of valence electron to the conduction band beyond the band gap of 3.2 eV. It has been reported that the STO photocarrier can control the electric and magnetic properties of (La, Sr)MnO3 (LSMO) via transferring the STO photocarrier to the LSMO beyond the hetero-interface. We propose that the electronic properties of various perovskite type oxides can be controlled by the photocarrier transferred from STO. We have found the resistance increase of LaFeO3 the under UV irradiation.
