Abstract :
A novel feeding configuration for an array module of four microstrip elements using electromagnetic coupling of coplanar waveguides (CPWs) has been investigated. Experimental results indicate an acceptable level of coupling loss at the CPW nonplanar T-junction and also excellent radiation patterns. The approach requires no direct solder contact and therefore offers the possibility of high-level integration in large phased-array designs.<>
