Abstract :
Different damage characteristics of masonry buildings in Wenchuan earthquake are described in the paper, several field seismic strengthening methods and effective reinforcement measures that used widely in reconstruction are introduced according to different destruction features. Based on the actual situation, the key points are highlight in the process of reinforcement. For the problems that may exist after strengthening, several solutions and suggestions of improved reinforcement measures are put forward, which provide references for seismic strengthening of masonry structures.
