Abstract :
The development of an asynchronous data processing system is usually based on dedicated asynchronous elements. Advanced general-purpose microprocessors have a set of features facilitating designing of an asynchronous unit. The paper presents an architecture of the system implemented on Texas Instruments MSP430 micro-controllers using a principle of the level-crossing sampling. The system is able to process input signal with maximum frequency fmax = 8 kHz using sampling level number N = 7. The proposed system is developed for non-stationary signals sampling and processing using non-conventional digital signal processing methods.
