Abstract :
In an environment of high-mix low-volume technology development and manufacturing, cycle time control and improvement are more complex and challenging than the single-product high-volume manufacturing. In order to achieve a faster cycle tine in the integration of technology development and manufacturing, the California Technology and Manufacturing Group (CTM) at Intel has developed a unique system which monitors and controls cycle time at both global and module levels. The synergized macro and micro cycle time control systems have helped Intel achieve accelerated process development and integration of new products into manufacturing
