Abstract :
The asymmetric 10G EPON system with dual rate 1G/10G is an inevitable trend for increasing bandwidth of the triple play services. This paper has proposed and analyzed the 10G EPON system model coexisting with 1G EPON and some key technologies such as light-wave length allocation, dual rate receiver and the compatibility of operation and maintenance. The test of the telecommunication has demonstrated the smooth revolution from 1G EPON to 10G EPON.
