Abstract :
A wideband four element rectangular dielectric resonator antenna has been designed for 5.0 GHz WLAN and WiMAX band and its radiation characteristics determined through Ansoft HFSS simulation software. The proposed antenna is centrally excited by the coaxial probe with cylindrical dielectric rod. It is offering an impedance bandwidth of ~27% for the return loss below -10 dB with monopole like radiation pattern with 3.55 dBi peak gain.
