Abstract :
A scattered field version of FDTD which uses the ´Yee´ cell spatial discretization of the field components is modified to allow calculation of scattering from an anisotropic material with off-diagonal elements in the permittivity and conductivity tensors. This formulation can be extended to include anisotropic magnetic materials. The article assumes a familiarity with the scattered field formulation of FDTD.
