  • Abstract
    The authors describe a VXIbus-based data acquisition and processing system that is used for online accurate measurements of various quantities of a three-phase system: harmonic amplitude and phases of voltages and currents, RMS values, various powers, total harmonic distortion, and statistical behavior and time trends of these quantities. Problems of real-time measurement and control are resolved. Information concerning the hardware and software structure and descriptions of the system components and their interactions are presented. The design and operation of the system is reported, along with the advantages of using such a VXIbus-based system. Some examples showing the application of this measurement system are given
