Abstract
In this paper a multi-output digital sinusoidal oscillator is proposed and its performance is evaluated. The presented oscillator can generate sinusoidal waves of specified phases and unit amplitudes using recursive algorithms. A rotation matrix for the complex oscillator developed here unifies various complex oscillator structures and allows to derive the other novel multiple structures having the form of three- and four-phase up to multi-phase recursive discrete-time sinusoidal oscillators. The general form of rotation matrix for multi-output system is given. Finally, the structures as well as the performance of generated waveforms are presented. The algorithm for four-phase oscillator developed here can be successfully used to implement a quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulator.
