Abstract :
Due to the obvious development of wireless network and video application, video encoding and transmission become the major problem of wireless transmission. To cope with this problem, we propose a video streaming distribution algorithm based on the Variance Coefficient Weighting (VCM) and the Modified Grey Relational Analysis (MGRA) for SVC streams in this paper. The proposed algorithm considers different channels parameters comprehensively, and makes the dynamic option of networks when transmitting the SVC streaming is over the heterogeneous wireless network. Experimental results illustrate that the proposed algorithm can improve transmission efficiency and decoded quality of SVC video comparing with the algorithm of Bandwidth Optimal and Bit Error Optimal.
