Abstract :
The interlead variability is examined and modeled for two electrocardiographic variables, each describing a morphological feature of the duration of the ventricular repolarization process in a population of normal individuals, and in patients with the long-QT syndrome (LQTS). The two populations are compared using these interlead models. The results show that normal individuals present specific interlead changes which follow identifiable patterns while the LQTS patients do not show these patterns. LQTS patients also differ significantly from normal individuals in the sequence of the ventricular repolarization duration across the precordial leads
