Abstract
In this paper, the broadside coupling between zeroth order resonator mushroom structures have been clarified. The dominant factor of the insertion loss was dielectric loss when the dielectric loss tangent is nonzero. The low insertion loss was realized in the offset arrangement including the coupling between the microstrip line and the mushroom structure. The broadside coupling characteristics between two zeroth order resonator mushroom structures terminating transmission lines were shown. The impedance matching at n = 0 and -2 resonant frequencies was achieved.
