Abstract :
With steel structural system, existing congregated apartments are restricted by the conflicts between quality and economy, technology and humanism, form and function, architecture and environment, so sustainability lies lower level in China. In order to improve the sustainability of 3S Congregated Apartments in China, this paper will discuss the problems how to incorporate the sustainability throughout all levels of 3S Congregated Apartments, and put forward tectonic strategies such as serialized supporting technology, integrated design, variable architectural space, humanistic architectural detail and architectural form, constructing and management system involving users, and so on.
