Abstract :
In this paper, we present a theory to construct perfect reconstruction (PR) time-varying FIR multirate filter banks with overlaps by using arbitrary FIR multirate PR filter banks in different time intervals. Numerical examples using discrete cosine transform and discrete wavelet transform in two different time intervals of different length are presented to illustrate the theory
