Abstract :
In this paper, a new design on power converter for switched reluctance drive (SRD) is proposed. Firstly, several commonly used main circuit topologies in SRD power converter are described, its working principle and characteristic are analysised and compared comprehensively. Secondly, circuit design of SRD power converter with 5.5kW is completed. Finally, components that is needed by main circuit are selected and calculated. Experimental results are given to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the design.
