Abstract :
We have demonstrated a high-power widely tunable SG-DBR laser monolithically integrated with a SOA. The structure of SOA is a lateral tapered waveguide and a wideband AR coating. Fiber coupled output power is more than 10 dBm of CW operation, and the output power variation was ∼1 dB.
