Abstract
Recently, a theoretically attractive necessary and sufficient condition for generic pole assignability by output feedback was obtained. Several algorithms were then proposed to construct output feedback gain matrices generically assigning prescribed poles. We show here however that generic pole assignment may make the closed-loop systems dynamics extremely sensitive to perturbations
