Abstract :
The capacitance sensor of unspecific form, which is utilized for the measurement of permittivity, was researched in this paper. The precise mathematical model of capacitance sensor to measure permittivity was established by means of the theories related to an electrostatic field and the properties of conductor and dielectric in the field, when electrodes and dielectrics are in the state of arbitrary shape and random relative positions. In the case of a spherical capacitance sensor, which was taken as an example of analysis, the result was the same as that from the original theories of classical electromagnetic thus confirming the validity of the mathematical model.
