Abstract :
The author presents some basic microcellular structures for use in the city environment and considers their performance, in terms of C /I. The advantages and disadvantages are discussed. The capacity is estimated for different combinations of cell plans, including multilayer structures. It is shown that cell structures based on simulcast techniques achieve better capacity if base station density is taken into account
