Abstract :
In this paper, the model reduction and H norm computation for state-space symmetric systems are investigated. First, it is shown that several model reduction methods, such as balanced truncation, balanced truncation which preserves the DC gain, optimal Hankel approximation and suboptimal Hankel approximation inherit the state-space symmetric property. Next, an explicit formula for computing H norm of state-space symmetric systems is given
