Abstract :
High efficient and uniform water-in-oil droplets generation methods was developed by multi stage divergence microflow device. High generation rate was achieved by the fact that one droplet is uniformly divided in 16 pieces. The maximum generation rate was 1760 droplets/sec and the average diameter of the droplets was 37 mum. Furthermore the deviation of the diameter was smaller than 3%. The generation rate and diameter were well controlled by the flow rates of water and organic respectively. The mass generation of the droplets is widely applicable for mass product of microbeads and microcapsules used in drug delivery.
