            Abstract : 
We experimentally demonstrate a metamaterial absorber based on carbon fiber arrays in microwave frequencies. The single unit cell consists of a cross-shaped carbon fiber cut-wire resonator. A single band absorber with strong absorption is obtained and works well for different polarizations. Numerical simulation is presented to compare with the experimental observations.
