Abstract :
This paper presents the analysis and design of a Ka band E-plane wideband bandpass waveguide filter on the basis of the equivalent circuit of the inserted strip in the middle of the waveguide broadside. According to the waveguide filter theory, the Ka band filter equivalent network parameters and its transformation are analyzed. At last, the waveguide filter is analyzed and optimized by electromagnetic simulation software. In experiment, minimum insertion loss of 0.23dB is obtained at 35.98GHz, and the insertion loss is below 0.5dB in the passband, which agree well with the simulation results.
