Abstract :
This study introduces an online detection technique of relative blood volume based on ultrasound, which analyzes the correlation between changes in serum protein concentration and attenuation in sound velocity and intensity. By measuring the attenuation in sound velocity and intensity, this method is employed to calculate RBV, and then evaluate dry weight of dialysis patients. In addition, this investigation also illustrates the structure and principle of detection device and provides the calculation formula. RBV values range between 15.6%~22.9% calculated from the model equipment. This detection method possesses multiple advantages such as real time, convenient, reproducible, non-invasive, etc.
