Abstract
In this paper, a dual wideband open L-slot antenna with a band-rejected slit for 3.5/5.5 GHz WiMAX and 5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN applications is proposed and investigated. A slit is etched on the rectangular radiation patch to produce a notched band, which can eliminate the 4~5 GHz band effectively. Effects of varying the slit parameters on the antenna´s performance show that the notched band can be finely tuned. The measured results agree reasonably with the simulated ones. According to the measured results, the proposed antenna operates at dual wideband with a fractional bandwidth of 33% from 3.06 to 4.27 GHz and anther one of 31.8% from 4.87 to 6.72 GHz, respectively. Detailed designs and experimental results are studied in this paper.
