Abstract
The new circularly polarized planar printed antenna concept with conical antenna pattern is presented. The proposed concept features a simple printed structure with omnidirectional pattern and maximum gain of about 6 dBi at the elevation angle from 30/spl deg/ to 60/spl deg/, showing features for various commercial applications. An operational bandwidth of more than 20% for VSWR less than 2 as well as a satisfactory axial ratio is obtained. The concept is verified by measurements.
