Abstract
A prototype system called APAVA to implement the decomposition process for generating the best feasible assembly plan is presented in this paper. The system structure of the decomposition process is discussed with its four maim modules: the feasibility testing module, the evaluation module, the selection module and the decomposition module. Then, an assembly example is presented as the application of the APAVA.
