Abstract :
An intercomparison of evapotranspiration estimation for three semi-empirical regression algorithms, and five remote sensing models developed from the traditional evapotranspiration estimation approaches was proposed in this study. These models were evaluated at both the local and regional scales using the dataset of MOSUEXE-12 campaign which was an experiment including a flux observation matrix. From the accuracy assessment and the error source analysis, different performances of these models were shown on the different scales, as well as the diverse landscape types, vegetation growing periods, and meteorological conditions. The results will be valuable to the development of evapotranspiration models and their applications, especially in an arid and semi-arid area.
