Abstract
The results of several network modeling and analysis studies of the signaling architecture for GSM are reported. The simulated total distribution of signaling traffic for a system designed to handle 150 K busy hour call attempts is presented. Traffic loads and message size distributions are presented for various network entities. The correct signaling link dimensioning required to accommodate such a system is shown
