  • Abstract
    A method based on the expansions of eigenmodes for the excitation and magnitude patterns and the iterative modification of phase pattern are used successfully. This method is more accurate than the method of N. Inagaki and R.J. Garbacz (1982) and simpler than the method of moments. In addition, this modified eigenmodes method can be extended to synthesizing a linear array of anisotropic (directive) elements.<>
