Abstract
In this paper the small signal voltage stability is evaluated for loads totally or partially composed of induction motors. The results presented show that, under conditions of ideal generator voltage control, the small disturbance dynamic critical conditions can be exactly computed by the usual algorithms based on conventional power flow model. Otherwise, a detailed dynamic model of the generator and its voltage control is necessary in order to determine an accurate voltage stability limit
