  • Abstract
    A novel approach to position sensorless vector control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) based on active-disturbance rejection controller (ADRC) is presented in this paper. The speed regulator is an ADRC regulator, in which the effect of load in speed loop is regarded as an external disturbance. The disturbance is observed and then compensated by ADRC, which lead to good dynamic and static performance and robust to load. The speed is also estimated by ADRC. A speed observer based ADRC is also designed in this paper in order to estimate rotor speed and position. The effect of speed and d-axis current in torque loop is regarded as a disturbance, which is observed by ADRC. The PMSM speed is then estimated based on the exactly observed value of torque loop disturbance. Simulation results show that the speed can be accurately estimated from 0r/min to 1500r/min with load or not. A good dynamic and static performance of PMSM speed regulation is achieved by this method.
